You're invited to join us at the Lord Mayor Dr Ross Kerridge's World Stroke Day Morning Tea on Monday 28 October 2024. 

This year's World Stroke Day Morning Tea will feature a number of talented local researchers from the Hunter Medical Research Institute Heart and Stroke Research Program. 

You'll hear about new developments in stroke research and some practical information on this year's World Stroke Day theme, Be # GreaterThanStroke. There will also be an opportunity to chat with researchers in small group discussions and share personal experiences.

  • How to know someone's having a stroke and what you can do
  • What it’s like living with stroke and how you can be #GreaterThanStroke
  • What HMRI is doing to support people after stroke and also prevent and treat stroke to minimise impact
  • How iREBOUND can help you be #GreaterThanStroke
