$5 PER PANCAKE MIX

Invite your friends and family to join in the great PANCAKE Challenge – how many pancake mixes can you sell to change the life of a vulnerable child impacted by poverty and war - Somalia, South Sudan, Kenya, Burundi, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Ukraine.

Every pancake mix we sell changes the future for a vulnerable child. Every 5 pancake mixes can change the future of a child by: 

• providing a school kit for a refugee child in Kakuma refugee camp, Kenya.
• providing 5kg of maize seeds to four families in Burundi so they can provide food for their children. 
• providing a hygiene kit for a young child in South Sudan.
• providing clean drinking water for a month for a child impacted by war in Ukraine.
• providing emergency food assistance for school children in Bangladesh.
• providing school kits for children affected by floods in Nepal.
• providing one month’s porridge ration for a family in Somalia. 

When ALWS (Australian Lutheran World Service) began in 1950, it was so generous that Australians could walk alongside people in need… to bring care and love to those overlooked and forgotten by the world. In 2025, they aim to celebrate the 75th Anniversary by supporting 75,000 children with the essentials for a happy, healthy life – food, school, and safety. We need your help to bring care and love to these children. You can help to make sure they have nutritious food to grow up strong, schooling so they are free to flourish, and safety growing up in families that are independent and hopeful for the future.

Pancake mix will be delivered to school by 28th March, 2025 for students to collect.
