This is the tragic story of South Australia's planning system and its failure to protect one of Kensington's oldest listed heritage buildings at 69 High Street (c1843) from demolition.
Denise Schumann OAM, History & Heritage Consultant, will explain the unique human stories associated with this significant site and why preserving history is critical to our well-being.
Dr Christel Mex, SA Greens candidate for Dunstan and local resident, will explain why preserving and reusing existing structures reduces waste, saves resources, and maintains our sense of community.
