Lotus returns for its annual fundraiser. After our last two SELL OUT successes where funds raised have supported clients and their families with clinical and non clinical care, education, advice, medical equipment and consumables.

This fundraising event will continue to provide support for members of the Northern Rivers community who require specialised palliative care to fulfill their wishes to die at home but where money is an obstacle to accessing our services.

Kate Monroe
Kate Monroe has been dubbed the “First Lady of House”. Kate has been of one of Australia’s preeminent house DJs, ruling dance floors in Australia and overseas for over two decades. Her passion for house music especially the vocal and the deep is legendary and her sets across every major club in Australia have made her an icon of the Australian House scene, playing headliner gigs in all the emerging and iconic clubs in her home country.

Kate Monroe’s name has been synonymous with big parties in Australia– Mardi Gras, Sleaze Ball, Field Day, Park Life and Harbour Party, not to mention offshore gigs in Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Kuala Lumpur and the US.

Kate has released three full length mixes on her own Mat Recordings label, as well as compilations for Sony, and Universal. She has supported all the top names in house music, Frankie Knuckles, Sandy Rivera, David Morales, Sam Divine, Mark farina, Roger Sanchez, and DJ Sneak to name a few Her ability to adapt and play out of the pocket has also seen her support, Lenny Kravitz, Seal, Chicane and Boy George.
Wherever she lands, Kate is famous for turning up the vibe and transforming an ordinary room into an unforgettable space. “I love the challenge of a new dance floor”

Danu Lynch
Danu is back. After a solid sabbatical doing what she calls the 'inner work', bringing a fresh, deeper and renewed energy to her music, life and the global dance floors!

Known as one of Australia's top female DJ's for her unique progressive house sound and big room energy. Danu Lynch's (aka DJ Kelly Lynch) has a 3-decade career, in house parties, events, major club nights, radio shows, major event film production, event production (Dance Music Productions). HEADLINED and played at Mardi Gras, Sleaze Ball, Tropical Fruits, Red Raw, Queer Nation, Pride, Laneway, Fair Day and more. Played alongside and billed with international talent - Roger Sanchez, Jimmy Sommerville, Carl Cox, Peter Rauhofer, George Michael, Capella, KLF, Wayne G, Ferry Corsten, Lisa Lashes, SNAP, Danny G, Lisa German, Kylie Minogue. Mixed it up with Australia's top DJ talent - Nik Fish, Abel El Toro, Stephen Allkins, PeeWee, Jumping Jack, Craig Obey, Mark Dynamix, Sista P, Mal Russel, Groove Terminator, Kate Monroe, Junior B, Alex Taylor, Mandy Rollins, Bexta, Paul Goodyear, and Feisty. Residences in Sydney at Icebox, NV, Phoenix, Arq, Kinselas, SOHO, Home Night Club. Holding her own technically with a true passion for house music, 'And in the last 12 months Danu has performed at some of the shires most iconic and loved gigs including Balcony Beats, Mystic Valley, Taste Of Love, Lotus Fundraiser 2023 and is the creator of AHOHM - 'an hour of house music'! Clearly it would be true to say 'watch this space'.

And what better way to bring her back to Lotus 2024 than with a B2B set with colleague and friend Kate Monroe! These two girls will bring you the best of the best in energy, music, experience and true dance floor mastery! Two of Australia's finest female DJ's in one DJ set!

Abel Toro
Abel has been synonymous with the electronic music scene from day one. The Sydney-born DJ of Spanish origin first came to our attention in the 90’s. Toro has played alongside The Chemical Brothers and Primal Scream. As a music producer/remixer, his credits include Sophie Monk (Sydney), Olli Wisdom (Space Tribe), Funk D’Void (UK) and Paul Mac (Sydney).

Abel now residing in the Northern Rivers, has quiet some history in the area being one of the first DJs from Sydney to start playing regularly at The CARPARK Nightclub in Byron Bay during the 90’s also playing a string of gigs at THE EPICENTRE and Beyond The Brain parties Byron Bay. Abel says he has always had a close connection with Byron and its surrounding hinterland.

Abel is renowned for his unique style of music and passion at what he does. His ability to play a diverse range of music sees him DJ at festivals and clubs around the country and overseas. 
Most recently Abel has performed a string of gigs in Sydney, Byron Bay, Gold Coast and Brisbane. Toro has also been busy in the studio writing and releasing new material on European labels ‘Trippy Code Records’ and ‘Furrier Records’. With more new music set to be released in 2024.

Sister P
Shed debut - Sista P has been a part of the Sydney DJ circuit for over 15yrs. International and local gig draw card and party goer pleaser. From 5000 at the Legendary Hordon Pavilion in Sydney to OS bonanzas, she has buzzed them all with her unique style and talent. Seasoned supporter and DJ for the Sydney Mardi Gras and played some of the biggest events in Sydney. Her success as a DJ not only comes from her amazing ability to choose the perfect track for that moment in time but it is in her incredible gift to be able to connect with a crowd no matter how big or small. She reads them like no other and has kept true to her soul, she delivers a musical journey every time. She plays with her passion and her love for music exudes from the decks right into the middle of the dance floor. Sista P had been on a hiatus as she relocated from Sydney to Northern Rivers.
She has been exploring new sounds and beats and is excited to dive in and share a fusion of funky jazzy vocals and Afro house beats.

Halo
Halo's journey through music began as a cosmic alignment of fate and rhythm. A second-generation DJ, who was seemingly destined for the decks. Her progressive sets are crafted for the dance floor, and are known for their climactic breakdowns, delicate melodies, deep bass lines and unwavering dedication to flow. Having quickly earned a reputation for her killer track selection and seamless integration, Halo is a rising key player in the far North Coast underground.

She is resident DJ and co-founder of Playground & Kohlective, and regularly ignites crowds at local Byron events including Durrumbul Hall Wiggle parties, Kohinur Hall, Warm Up, 2020 Vision, Balcony Beats, Lab Leaked Beats, The Canopy Club & Nudge Nudge Wink Wink. She played at Elsewhere on the Gold Coast & 2022 saw her major festival debut at Splendour in the Grass, with two slots at Tipi Forest Stage. 
Expect to be taken on an immersive dance floor experience when she steps up to the decks.

Leshi
Leshi hosts sets with an uplifting finesse that delivers the goods to any soul seeking crowd. No newcomer to Lotus or the Byron dance scene he has been successfully carving out party vibes for locals with a sound that continues to stay fresh and contemporary. Local favourites Ria Listic & Pob have shared many a lineup, but something special happened one muddy Friday night at Earth Frequency when they came together for a fun-filled, high energy back to back set at Love Camp! With his musical upbringing steeped heavily in techno, it’s no surprise that Pob brings a deeper, darker, more industrial sound, while Ria leans on her love of house & disco, often featuring vocal samples & re-edits in her sets. These 2 crowd-pleasers meet seamlessly somewhere in the middle, bouncing off each other’s eclectic music taste with twists, turns and bass drops!
We are delighted to bring them together one more time at Lotus to close out the evening in the Shed!

Ria Listic
Lighting up dance floors since the late 90's, Ria Listic has an infectious energy & a deep love for all things house music. A regular at events & festivals around the world for 20+ years, her knowledge & understanding of music is broad and eclectic. A Northern Rivers resident since 2018, Ria has FEATURED on line-ups for Sunday Kicks, Playground, Balcony Beats, Secret Garden, Coco Republik & Barefoot Beats. In the festival realm she has played at Rabbits Eat Lettuce, Rainbow Serpent & Burning Seed for Coco Poco Loco, at Earth Frequency for The Wonky Queenslander & Love Camp – not to mention the Lotus fundraiser in 2021 and 2023! Ria knows exactly what it takes to get a dancefloor moving; expect anything from singalong house & disco classics to late night dance floor bombs and everything in between.

POB
Ever chasing the pulse, Pob audaciously blends a fabulous mix of rhythms & styles to create rich, captivating sound environments at festivals, clubs, fields, halls, creative spaces & cracking house parties. Pob has over 25 years of experience, known for keeping a solid upbeat vibe on the dance floor…. & he still loves it…. always for the magic that music brings. Pob has an intelligence, wit & a gracious attitude when it comes to djing. His home is amongst the expressive Northern Rivers where he has been consistently entertaining groovers for over 2 decades. whether it be a street party, a disused railway tunnel, deep in the bush, sports clubs, festival stages, primary school discos, regular venues & exclusive celebrations, Pob is passionate about the music he plays and the transformation it brings. Co-creator of Playground, a regular Byronshire communal knees-up.
Pob loves reflecting good VIBES and spreading great MUSIC.

Food will be available to purchase and there will be a courtesy bus to and from Ocean Shores and Brunswick Heads.
