Lou started taking her craft seriously after receiving a grant from John Butler of a backyard EP and then an ARIA finalist nomination for her first studio album a long time ago now. A self confessed hippie, country music outlaw, and continuously touring artist and song writer, Lou is no stranger to living a life devoted to the highlights and estrangement that comes with a career in pursuing original music.

After 20 years raising her family in the hills of Mullumbimby NSW with her banjo playing husband Phil, the Huon Valley hills are now her downtime home and the sound of her songs confirms they are indeed made in the hills. Unique, a little down-home a little rough but warm and familiar all at the same time.
