Love Songs in Challenging Times: a benefit folk concert
Event description
“I call them all love songs.” ― Pete Seeger
Challenging times? Come together for a night of live music that benefit others! Talented local performers Ben and Nancy Parent, Geoff Kaufman, Dan and Liz Spurr, Sister Liliane, Geoff Mitchill duo, Tim Lambert and Scott, Jake and Amanda, and Glenn and Lizzie of Gilead Road will perform two songs each. The theme is love…and resilience. …and generosity! Performers from Shekinah Haitian SDA Church, neighbors of Friday Night Folk in New London, join the party. Refreshments available before the concert!
Our beneficiary: The goal of the Haitian Hub is “Innovating for a resilient Haitian future.” The Haitian Hub Resource Center of New London offers a range of bilingual services that include job application assistance, career building, and immigration services for the Haitian community.
Participation is what will save the human race... when people discover a harmony they never knew existed! -- thank you, Pete!
