Event description

Geoff Mitchill band
I call them all "love songs.”   ― Pete Seeger

Challenging times? Come together for a night of live music that benefits others! Ben and Nancy Parent of The Rivergods, Geoff Kaufman, Dan and Liz Spurr, Liliane Andres, Elastic Folks, Geoff Mitchill Band (duo), and Gilead Road will perform two songs each. The New London Haitian Church Youth Drum Corps and performers from Shekinah Haitian SDA Church, neighbors of Friday Night Folk in New London, join the celebration. As a grand finale, Denise Walstra of Fusion will lead us in a spirited rendition of Patti Smith’s “People Have the Power.” All are invited for refreshments before the concert--doors open at 6:30 and the concert begins at 7.

Our beneficiary: With its goal of “Innovating for a resilient Haitian future,” New London’s Haitian Hub Resource Center  offers the Haitian community a range of bilingual services.

As Pete Seeger noted, "Participation is what will save the human race..."

Glenn and Lizzie of Gilead Road
Ben Parent will sing with Nancy Parent!
Geoff Kaufman joins the evening!
