PAUL COOMBES AND TONY PRYOR in Concert

Coombes n Pryor are an outstanding home grown Illawarra based duo that joins together the rich warm voice from behind the piano, Tony Pryor with the talented multi-instrumentalist & vocalist Paul Coombes.

Paul has been working in the music industry recording, performing and touring since the early 80’s (long before music was free). Performing with the award winning Country/ Rock band Shot To Pieces was a highlight. As well as being part of a successful jingle company in the 90’s, he also worked in several theatre productions with theatre south.

Whether picking/strumming, 4, 5, 6 strings or releasing the rich full sound of the 12 string acoustic guitar, Paul Coombes has a deep connection with the instruments he plays. Paul’s fingers also know their way around a keyboard, whether it’s a piano or a piano accordion, he will bring it to life and make it sing.

Tony Pryor is a self-taught piano vocalist who has honed his craft over yeas of performing as a soloist and with other musicians. His unique feel and vocal delivery has been a part of the local live music industry for many years.

Tony Pryor can interpret and put his unique touch on pretty much any song and make it his own. Tony connects completely to whatever song he is singing and accompanies his voice with a natural flowing unique piano style.

They have been singing together for many years, They love harmonising and making up arrangements of folk songs, 60's pop songs, country ballads, Aussie pop classics and what ever takes their fancy.
