Event description

Find your business community and be inspired by local business leaders by attending Love Local Fleurieu on Friday, 5 March at DogRidge Cellar Door, McLaren Flat from 2pm to 6pm.

Our quarterly events provide you with an opportunity to connect, collaborate and form genuine relationships with local business women that understand that when women support women, we all thrive. These events also invite you to reflect on themes that will support you to grow, learn and expand personally and professionally.

Join us in March, as we explore the theme ‘Enjoy the Journey’.

In business we often put most of our focus on future planning and reaching our professional goals, but if we’re not enjoying the journey and celebrating our wins along the way, then what’s the point?

Our leading lady, chiropractic doctor Kirstie Kendrick will share her journey to being ‘more me’. She describes the experience as beautiful, challenging, uncomfortable and empowering. A believer in hope, Kirstie knows that when we allow ourselves to feel the pain, the emptiness, the sadness; we learn to let it go, to embody our truer self, and find ourselves freer, happier, healthier.

Kirstie’s professional journey began after seeing a gentle chiropractor for migraines in her 20s. For first time she felt at home in her body. She fell in love with the holistic approach to health that chiropractic offered and went on to complete a Bachelor and Masters in Clinical Chiropractic (with distinction). She furthered her studies in sacro occipital technique, cranial and sutural techniques, biodynamic craniosacral therapy, pregnancy and paediatric chiropractic. Kirstie knows that everyone is capable of living a life of optimal health and happiness.

When women share their stories, we realise that we all experience the highs and lows that are part of life. But in sharing our challenges, celebrating our wins and supporting each other we can feel less alone and can learn to enjoy the journey.

Building relationships is the best (and most enjoyable) way to do business. This event is structured to ensure there will be lots of opportunities to connect with new people, build new relationships, collaborate, grow your business, and more important than anything create a heart-driven support system of Fleurieu sisters to love on you!!

But that’s not all, award-winning Fleurieu artist Laura Hill will be joining us for a special guest performance. Real Food Life will be nourishing our bodies, Kelly’s Cake-away will be serving up her delicious themed cupcakes and DogRidge Wines will be pouring the local wines - all included in the ticket price.

Take this opportunity to get out the office. You never know who you are going to meet and what ‘aha’ moments you are going to experience at these events. You may even win one of the generous door prizes! Trust me, you don’t want to miss this!!
