Love Water: River Reciprocity Days in Sheridan

Join Groundwork Denver, Sheridan Inspire, and ViVe Wellness for our "Love Water" event series at River Run Park in Sheridan. We'll give back to the river while learning how to safely enjoy the gifts it provides us. These family-oriented events are equal parts education, action, family, food, and fun with the water.

Each event involves:

• Giving Back: Help clean up litter and weeds from the area, and learn about some of the nearby native plants that support ecosystem health.

• Water Safety & Play: ViVe Wellness' water safety experts will lead water safety discussions, get everyone practicing in the river, and bring fun gear like tubes to float on.

• Dinner! We'll share a tasty meal from a local business.

Free parking is available.

DETAILS:

• Recommended for Ages 8+. All minors must be accompanied by a guardian.

• Waivers will be required for all participants. We will email you the forms in advance and have them available at check-in.

• Food, water, and water safety and play gear will be provided

• Proper use of water safety gear is required

• If you plan to get in the water, bring a swimsuit, towel, a change of dry clothes, and shoes you can wear in the river to protect feet from sharp or slippery rocks (shoes that won't fall off in the river)

• Bathroom facilities are available on site for changing and using the restroom

Estos eventos orientados a la familia son una combinación de educación, capacitación, acción, comunidad, comida y diversión en el agua.

Cada evento incluye:

SEGURIDAD EN EL AGUA Y DIVERSIÓN: Los expertos en seguridad acuática de ViVe Wellness liderarán discusiones sobre seguridad en el agua, harán que todos practiquen en el agua y traerán equipo divertido como flotadores y kayaks de plástico. Groundwork Denver compartirá información sobre los problemas locales de calidad del agua, cómo afectan a su familia y tomaremos medidas juntos, desde la eliminación de especies invasoras y basura, hasta la identificación de plantas comestibles nativas, demostraciones de barriles de lluvia y distribución (vea las fechas a continuación para más detalles).

DETALLES:

• Edades 8+. Todos los menores deben estar acompañados por un tutor.
