Loveys Actually in the Evening
Event description
Now a new date!
Loveys Actually
Stories, Songs and Confessions
Divorce, Dementia, Online Dating and Septuagenarian Sex - the four Loveys tell stories, sing songs and make a few confessions in this brand new two act theatre show. Inspired by the Heroine’s Journey, Loveys Actually is a glimpse into the lives of four women venturing where middle age women fear to tread - playful, funny, and reaching deep down into the heart.
Award-winning, grown-up girl band, The
Loveys, deliver great songs, powerful harmonies and sensational style in equal measure. With attitude to burn, these four sassy songstresses deliver a cabaret- style act that will delight and engage you as they sing about what really matters – to them at least!
Comedic laments about old age, a lullaby about dementia, a celebration of septuagenarian sexuality, and featuring a bassoon solo that’ll rock your world, The Loveys are out to defy the mature woman stereotype, laughing in the face of life’s dramas, delivering beautiful music, thought provoking lyrics and bucket-loads of humour.
‘A night with the Loveys is to lose yourself in the laughter and joy of their uplifting music. We loved their new show, Loveys Actually, which reveals an intimate glimpse into the lives of each of these four fab and talented women. Original, toe tapping music, raw honesty and humour, especially in the face of life's dramas, they know how to rock an audience. It put a smile on my face all night. More Loveys please!’ Lynne
