A paddock scale safe-to-fail grazing trial in the hills of Telita, in north east Tasmania is showing remarkable results.

We're holding a field day to discuss the process and oucomes, covering:

  • how to increase grass density and diversity, improve water infiltartion, soil moisture retention, nutrient cycling and soil stability
  • how and what to measure to know how management is impacting pasture and soil health
  • what is the most profitable, low risk and rapid way to dramatically improve soil health with grazing
  • what is the science behind reading the land
  • case studies on highly profitable farmers who are building their soil health and grass inventory
  • how to set up convenient day to day management that is profitable and enjoyable
  • designing fencing and water infrastructure
  • developing grazing plans to know how much grass you have ahead of you

We'll start at the Branxholme Hall with holistic grazing trainer and farmer, Graeme Hand, then head to "Hillview" to walk through the trial.
