Low Waste Kitchen
Event description
When it comes to reducing waste in the household, the kitchen is the perfect place to start!
For this workshop, the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder Waste & Sustainability team is joined by author, blogger and low waste educator Lindsay Miles as we learn to make sustainable food choices: how to buy better, cook simply and waste less.
On her blog www.treadingmyownpath.com, Lindsay shares her experiences with living the low waste lifestyle, with everything from chickens & veggie gardening, to tips & tricks on reducing your single-use plastic reliance. Lindsay is often found presenting talks and workshops for councils and community groups, and she has two great books - "Less Stuff - Simple zero-waste steps to a joyful and clutter-free life" and "The Less Waste No Fuss Kitchen" - both of which help others live more meaningful lives with less waste and less stuff.
By attending this workshop, you will be eligible for the City's Compost & Worm Farm Rebate. More information here:
