Miyuki Jokiranta and Ben Byrne present their audio work Whalefall in ambisonic surround sound. Recently commissioned and premiered by ORF 1's Kunst Zum Hören, Whalefall listens to the stories of leviathans, mythic and real. This presentation is an experiment in reworking the original stereo audio piece using ambisonics and the pair welcome feedback on the work in progress.

Listening Practice is a monthly gathering of listeners open to all, where sonic research and practice is shared in a dedicated listening environment, with informal discussion encouraged afterward.
