Winter Song Share: Please join us for a benefit performance by our Fall 2026 Ensemble.
Lift the Spirit Choir is an inclusive, care-based singing community rooted in play, authenticity, and connection; Connection to each other, the natural world, and the spirit we all share.
Special Guest Artist: Magpie Vocal Improv Ensemble
Ticket prices: The three ticket levels, $20, $30, $40, represent our suggested donation prices. You can choose a different amount by selecting the "Donate your own amount" option at checkout. Once our maximum capacity is reached, all ticket sales will end.
Reception: Join us for snacks and community immediately following the performance.

Living and Singing Spontaneously
Magpie is a collaboration of four dynamic singers who create music spontaneously, without a score, chart, or director. Comprised of Marta Aarli, Celeste Niehaus, Tom Weiser, and Roy Willey, the ensemble’s strength lies in its ability to open to the unknown and transform the immediacy of the moment into compelling, relatable music.
Every piece Magpie sings is improvised in the moment, never sung before, never to be sung again. Magpie shares their music to demonstrate the powerful creative effects of cooperation, connection, and community.
FAQs
- What's the parking situation?
There is free parking on weekends in the lot to the immediate south of the church. There is also street parking on Grant and streets surrounding the church. Even so, we advise you plan to arrive early to find parking and get settled in the church.
- Can I bring my kids?
Of course! Children are welcome as long as they do not become disruptive. Please monitor your children and, if necessary, be willing to step out with them to avoid disturbing the audience.
- Can I join the choir?
Yes, please! Talk to a choir member or director, get on our email list, and/or come to our OPEN SING on Tuesday December 15 to give singing with us a test drive. Here's a link to the Open Sing: https://liftthespiritchoir.com/open-sing
