Description

In this PD we will explore the forces that impact workplace wellbeing for educators. We will learn how demoralization relates to attrition from the profession and about the construct of emotional labour. We will also unpack and discuss the phenomena of toxic positivity, cruel wellbeing and care exploitation in schools. Finally, we will engage with a tangible strategy to help teachers unpack their professional emotional lives with one another.

When: 3rd November

Time: 4.30pm -6pm

Cost: Free to LTWA members

Where: School of Isolated and Distance Education (SIDE), Oxford St, Leederville (a map and room details will be provided closer to the date)

Note that SIDE is a short walk from the Leederville Train Station. Attendees are encouraged to take the train where possible.
