FAQs
- I have a cat allergy — can I still come? 🐾
Cha & Zak's Clubhouse is a fully functioning cat café with resident cats present throughout the venue. If you have a cat allergy, please consider this carefully before booking. We unfortunately can't offer a cat-free space within the venue.
- I'm new to Mahjong or HK point-scoring style 🤗
We have instructional materials, but also feel free to check out this amazing youtube video that goes over the basics. For players who know the basics already, here is a great intro to points.
Learning is also more fun with newbies so please indicate on your ticket. - What's included in the $35 ticket? 🍵🐱🀄️
Your ticket covers one matcha drink from Kara's Home and your cat café session at Cha & Zak's Clubhouse for the duration of the event. Mahjong tiles and tables are provided — just bring yourself and your best 🍵🐱🀄️.
- I know how to play but want to socialise over fun games of mahjong 😎
For casual players, our default game is HK style (with points) because it's fun! However, people are welcome to play any style agreed by their table. If you would like us to try a different style, please let us know! We have tried Sichuan style before and it was heaps of fun!
- Can I bring my own pet?
Yes! Pets are welcome, as long as they're well-behaved and remain under your supervision at all times. Please be mindful that we have resident cats and there will be plenty of people around.
Grab a Bring Your Own Pet ticket when registering so we know to expect them.
