After years of volunteering in the shop's predecessor, store owner Daphne Spain expanded her devotion to the space by opening 2nd Act Books. She and the book-loving community of Charlottesville work tirelessly to keep books accessible to all who cross the threshold. This commitment to the needs of their neighbors makes 2nd Act Books the perfect place to take in an evening of soaring melodies, compelling lyrics, and a life story or two that are sure to make you laugh.

Lucy Isabel has spent nearly 12 years living and learning in Nashville, TN as a professional touring musician. Her show feels less like a concert and more like an invitation into shared experience: as a friend, a partner, a mother, and a storyteller. She'll lift your spirit with a healthy dose of joyful self-awareness and break your heart with a lyric so true you could swear she read your mind.
