Lucy's Project have run our Perspective Conferences on specific aspects of the link between Domestic and Family Violence and Animals since 2015. This year, we had decided to look at supporting people with animals during a DFV crisis when another crisis is occurring. As it happened, COVID 19 hit and we had to cancel our physical conference and like everyone else, take it online! We would be thrilled if our webinar series was able to help support you and your clients with animals during concurrent crises.

In the past 12 months our nation has experienced some of the worst droughts in history, the most extensive bushfires, followed by floods and then COVID-19- which may stay with us for years.

In our first webinar in the series, we look at planning for animals relocating due to DFV during bushfire, drought and COVID.

We'll hear from Dr. Mel Taylor of Macquarie University who also volunteers for Blue ARC on her experience and knowledge of planning for animals during bushfire.
We'll hear from Jo Seymour of Merri Health about coordinating support between councils and DFV refuges.
We'll hear from Dr. Alicia Kennedy of Cherished Pets about her direct experience supporting animals of vulnerable people with animals through the recent crises.
We'll hear from Youna Kim of EDVOS about safety risk management tools for animals during a family violence crisis.
Lucy's Project will introduce a case study on a rescue during multiple concurrent crises and highlight the key points of consideration.
There will be an opportunity for Q and A.

This case study will continue through all three of the webinars in this series, as we slowly unpack some of the issues, understanding how best to support clients with animals, identifying areas needing further development and where support might be found.
