Description
The Stress Cascade: Hormones, Stress & Heart Health
Wednesday 2 December | 12.15pm–1.45pm
Victoria Park Community Centre
What actually happens inside our bodies when stress becomes chronic?
Join Luma for Her Health and Wellbeing for an engaging 90-minute workshop exploring the connection between stress, hormones, sleep and cardiovascular health.
One of Luma’s most requested sessions, The Stress Cascade looks at how chronic stress can affect hormonal balance — particularly cortisol — and the flow-on effects this can have on sleep and heart health.
Rather than simply being told to “stress less”, you’ll gain a better understanding of what’s happening in your body and learn practical strategies you can use to reduce the impact of stress and support your long-term wellbeing.
What we’ll explore
How the body responds to ongoing stress
Cortisol and hormonal balance
The relationship between stress and sleep
How chronic stress can affect cardiovascular health
Recognising the impact stress may be having on your body
Practical strategies to reduce its effects
Supporting better rest and long-term wellbeing
Come along, learn more about your body and leave with practical strategies you can take into everyday life.
