LumoTV is the UK’s home of deaf entertainment and the world’s only sign language-led commissioning body, creating bold, accessible content that celebrates deaf and sign language communities. Formerly the British Sign Language Broadcasting Trust, LumoTV commission across scripted, factual, entertainment and children’s programming, with a focus on authentic storytelling and developing deaf talent both on and off screen. 

Joining this session will be factual commissioners Cathy Heffernan and Julian Peedle-Calloo and drama commissioner, Phillip Dodds.  This is a chance to hear directly from LumoTV’s commissioning team about what they’re looking for, how they work with creatives and how to approach them with ideas that feel both culturally authentic and creatively exciting.
