LUNA Blessings pres. DHC & Jenny Cara
Event description
FOR THE FEMMES, THE TRANS, AND THE QUEERS 🔮
𝐋𝐔𝐍𝐀 𝐁𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 return to Miscellania to celebrate the unfolding of summer 🍹From a balmy evening on the rooftop, to making mischief in the club downstairs, we can’t wait to welcome you to our first party of the warmer months. We’re blessed with the presence of two sweethearts from the northern hemisphere, Jenny Cara and DHC, both joining us for their first ever shows in so-called-Australia.
Swiss angel Jenny Cara is known for her ability to create electrifying dancefloor moments. Coming from a booker and later, manager of Zurich club Zukunft, to making her path as a DJ, Jenny Cara’s lens is intersectional, centring community, history, joy and accessibility. Jenny will make you fall in love with her energy, and leave you glowing on the dancefloor.
We’re thrilled to be joined by Colombian-born, Berlin-based DHC. Dominik’s sound is fierce yet seductive, an embodiment of passion and intrinsic queer force. Drawing on a deep devotion to their dance history and culture, Dominik makes connections through groove and infectious energy. Also known for their work with sister THC, as the duo S-candalo, DHC is an inspiring force in all facets, and we can’t wait to have them draw our night to a close.
Soundtracking our cocktails on the rooftop will be up-and-coming star Jem, who is known for her groove-infused progressive house and percussive rhythms. Alongside Jem is Molto, who, raised on the sounds of iconic Naarm venues the Mercat, Boney and Hugs&Kisses, Molto developed her hypnotic sound palette. Opening the club room will be your LUNA Blessings high priestesses, DJ Luv You and Hannah D.
Don’t forget to keep your eyes peeled for the return of visionary Lucy Eidelson’s ‘𝐀𝐱𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐥𝐬’. After their beautifully playful performance at our FLINTA Solstice, the axolotls are back; appearing, becoming, unbecoming, shifting and regenerating within our space.
We can’t wait to see you there x
