Luna Wolf Music is Claire Heenan, an experienced multi-instrumentalist who lives and breathes songwriting. Claire has been writing songs since adolescence, where she found solace in pouring her experiences into words and chords. Having been the bass player in The Venus Alkatraz and the front-woman, bassist and songwriter of Brumby, Claire is now playing under the name Luna Wolf Music which marks her rebirth into music after a hiatus in the realm of motherhood.
Luna Wolf Music's goal is to record her album in 2025, and she is performing regularly throughout 2024 to test out new material, spread the word and reinvent herself. Claire sings and plays guitar, bass and piano for her originals.
Luna Wolf Music has been described as having a “haunting” sound and a “darkness that’s ethereal and comforting” as well as “very 90s grunge” by audiences. Hearing Luna Wolf Music live is an immersion in heartfelt, solo grunge/rock-style original music that will validate you, comfort you and remind you what it is to deeply feel. Luna Wolf Music is based in the Blue Mountains where she is a music teacher, mother and lover of nature.
