Lunch & Learn: Discover the Emotional Side of UX Design

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

We get hooked scrolling through our ‘For You’ page on TikTok, watching personalised recommendations on Netflix and choose to form friendships with people we find authentic and relatable.

We gravitate towards things that resonate with us. And still, when faced with digital product design, we forget to create experiences people have a real personal connection to. It’s not enough to predict what our audience wants. We must understand them. Explore the less predictable, human interaction between brands and digital products with Jeff Ginsburg from Cord & Berg + Happy Go Live.

Relentlessly curious, Jeff’s work explores the space where innovation, technology and identity systems meet. An awarded creative, he has won Best Small Studio at the Sydney Design Awards (twice), a Patron's Australian Design Award for NurseWatch at the 2018 Good Design Awards® and a collection of other accolades at Cord & Berg – working with startups and globally recognised partners across a broad spectrum of industries. Most recently, Jeff joined the team at UTS as a Studio Leader for Design Practice.

Key Takeaways

- Find the purpose behind your user experience

- What to fuss over and what to skip

- How to inject personality into your UX design

- Adopt a human-centric approach to UX
