Lunch & Learn: How to Make a Lasting Impression on a VC Firm

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Ever wondered how you can get a VC on your side from the get go? Most VC firms say that they are more likely to invest in a person/team rather than their initial idea, so it is imperative to make a good first impression.

In this workshop, join Chris Quirk and Taryn Pieterse, Investment Managers at Rampersand, to learn how to impress VCs with your pitch deck and VC interview.

Key Takeaways

- Learn to construct the ideal investor-ready pitch deck
- Learn how to best prepare for a VC interview
- Understand what VCs look for in startup teams and founders

About the Speakers

Chris Quirk and Taryn Pieterse are Investment Managers at Rampersand, a venture capital firm supporting early-stage Australian startups. Rampersand has invested in startups across fin-tech, data, cybersecurity, augmented reality, HR and workplace platforms, as well as logistics, often investing at the late seed to Series A stage.

On top of his role as Investment Manager, Chris is also a mentor/partner at Startmate, Australia's most ambitious accelerator, and an advisor at High Earth Orbit Robotics, a SpaceTech startup developing nanosatellites to undertake efficient space situational awareness and satellite identification.

Taryn, as well as her role at Rampersand, brings a wealth of experience in investment, notably her previous role as Investment Manager at Light Warrior Group, and Analyst at Goldman Sachs.
