Lunch & Learn | Attracting and Retaining Aboriginal Employees
Event description
As part of our ‘Working Together’ project, we know that it takes more than a recruitment process to attract & retain indigenous employees.
IN this Lunch & Learn, Cis Narkle of Jobs & Skills Centre and  & Kim Narkle of South Regional TAFE will provide insights into recruitment and assisting indigenous employees from both an employer & employee point of view, and provide some cultural training employers should be aware of. There will be space to ask specific questions - this is a safe space regarding your workplace & practices.Â
Attendees will also be provided with materials to assist their workforce in building an Aboriginal Engagement toolkit.Â
Working Together is a dedicated service with a focus on providing information, support and advice to business owners and operators in the South West to attract recruit and retain young Aboriginal employees. Working in collaboration with the local Jobs & Skills Centre, Working Together aims to expand employment, training and mentorship opportunities for young local Aboriginal people by connecting them with local businesses.
