Lunch Fundraiser for Primary School

We are excited to announce our fourth annual lunch fundraiser, hosted by the Ettalong Yoga Community, with all proceeds raised going to village primary schools in Jaipur, India.

This community event welcomes up to 50 participants and features a fully vegetarian feast, offering vegan and gluten-free options.

If you can't attend, you can still support us by sharing, donating or purchasing raffle tickets. Every little bit helps, and your generosity can make a significant impact. Over the past four years thanks to our incredible community, we raised $10,500, which enabled the establishment of toilets, classrooms, school supplies and uniforms for all the children. Plus, the planting of trees for shade for the children to play outside

We would like to extend a special thank you to Evie, who travels to India each year to personally oversee the allocation the funds from these events. Evie spends her time there getting to know the children and ensuring that our contributions are used effectively to provide essential resources to their needs.

Our Story

Evie first went to India 11 years ago and stayed with a family in a small B&B homestay called 'Ikaki Niwas'. Evie has since returned each year, during one of her stays there as the only guest at the homestay owner JD shared with Evie the progress of the local farm and village primary school he had been trying to support. Evie and her husband Dave were inspired to support the growth of this community. In the last 4 years, they have raised enough money for the girls to have toilets, with the attendance for the first time being both 50/50 girls and boys. Over the last four years our Ettalong yoga Community were also inspired to support this project.

JD has now created a foundation. The foundations mission is: "to foster an equitable living environment where all vulnerable people, especially underprivileged women and children have access to education, health, sustainable livelihood opportunity and essential infrastructure services, irrespective of their economic and social status." 

Sunday 23rd August - 1pm Lunch Sitting. - Please arrive 15 minutes early to settle in as we will serve at 1pm.
