Join MC Erin Molan and Host Peter Overton for an intimate and relaxed discussion with our 2019 Australian of the Year, Dr Richard “Harry” Harris SC OAM, who played a crucial role in the amazing cave rescue of the young Thai football team in 2018.
Richard is an Australian anaesthetist and cave diver who didn't hesitate to jump on a plane to help rescue the 12 young members of the Wild Boars soccer club and their coach who had become trapped deep in a Thai cave.
Peter will uncover Richard’s passion for cave diving and how his skills as a cave diver and doctor were used to manage the spine tingling risks taken to rescue the boys and their coach. We all know the story had a happy ending but you will hear first hand how Richard helped plan and execute what he saw as the remote possibility of saving all 13 young Thai men.
