    Event description

    University is a place where students engage with new and challenging ideas, concepts and perspectives which can, at times, cause considerable discomfort. University is also a place where students are expected to abide by codes of conduct in their interactions with others and where staff have a duty of care for their students.

    This event brings together an expert panel which will present different perspectives on discussing challenging and sensitive topics in the classroom. The panel will explore classroom management, academic discourse and critical thinking, teaching academic support and wellbeing, and student wellbeing. Pro Vice-Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) Geoff Hinchcliffe will give an introductory presentation.

    Audience members will have the opportunity to engage with the panel during a Q&A session after the panel presentations.
