Event description

Columbia Arts and Black in the Gorge invite you to a special Black History Month screening of Luther: Never Too Much!

Luther: Never Too Much, the documentary film, chronicles the story of a vocal virtuoso. Using a wealth of rarely seen archives, Luther tells his own story with assistance from his closest friends and musical collaborators including Mariah Carey, Dionne Warwick, Valerie Simpson and Roberta Flack. The film relives the many stunning moments of Luther’s musical career, while exploring his personal life, health struggles, and a lifelong battle to earn the respect his music deserved. Featuring: Jamie Foxx, Mariah Carey, Dionne Warwick, Valerie Simpson, Roberta Flack, and more.

Proceeds from our Black History Month Programming support the Black in the Gorge (BiG) Scholarship Fund and Columbia Arts. In addition to the screening, join us for our gallery exhibit Rooted in the Gorge: A Celebration of Diversity in Our Community & the BiG Benefit Concert with the  "First Lady of the Portland Blues," LaRhonda Steele!
