Indigenous Printmaking & Archival Traces

Join us for a panel discussion with printmakers and a viewing of prints with the artists

As part of growing global interest in Australian Indigenous print practice, this event is the third in a series (following discussions in the US at Kluge-Rue and Darwin at DAAF), to convene artists, printmakers, curators, and arts professionals to explore the significance of Indigenous printmaking histories. This discussion will look particularly at prints inventive relationship to cultural and historic archives – materially re-tracing gestures and mark marking of the past. 

This event is produced by the Berndt Museum and Lawrence Wilson Art Gallery, and has been assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body.
