Event description

A chance to go beyond the election campaign to explore the personal toll of putting oneself front and centre on the political stage. In a world that is becoming increasingly polarised, with a 24-hour news cycle, what can we do to support those who are willing to represent us? What would it take for you personally to feel comfortable enough to put your own hand up? Join us to hear from our first ever LWAL panel and join in the discussion about the challenges and joys of standing for office.

Join us for a hosted conversation lead by ABC journalist Emily Baker with Meg Webb MLC, Deputy Lord Mayor Councillor Helen Burnett, and Anna Bateman a recent candidate for Franklin with the Local Party. 

During this session you will have the opportunity to engage in the conversation and will be invited to share your ideas in relation to reform.
