Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage, (RLD) is a groundbreaking technique focusing on stimulating the lymphatic system which underpins the bodies ability to heal and stay healthy.
This treatment has been found to significantly reduce the volume of swelling.

Reflexology Lymph Drainage follows the lymphaitc reflexes on the feet to encourage the movement of lymph around the body. This specialist technique can not only benefit sufferers of lymphoedema, but can help reduce the symptoms of many other conditions. Those suffering from auto immune disorders from ME to eczema and Fibromyalgia and muscular skeletal pain have reported improvements after this treatment. An increase in energy levels is also a benefit and this treatment can be useful to help aid post operative recovery.

The results I have seen from this technique have been quite astounding, so much so, I now use reflexology lymph drainage in all my treatments, regardless of presenting conditions. Everyone can benefit from this technique.

This is a stand alone module at level 1 with asrr college certification

This course is an introduction level however a higher level is available for students who already hold a certificate in Anatomy & Physiology, Body Massage, Professional Conduct from the last 10 years at time of booking to secure your place. This is an intensive fast track course enabling students to qualify in lymphatic drainage within 3 months studying at the weekend in williamstown Melbourne. There will be a second and third level weekend which will allow you to take an International practical and theory exam.The price of $500 is only for the Level 3 Lymphatic Drainage Massage course weekend one.

For a qualification level

This course can be studied after you have completed a reflexology or qualification in Massage or work in the caring profession in any capacity.

The Lymphatic Drainage Massage course is 30 hours long and usually divided into 4x 7 hour classes and one 2 hour class. These are initially 6 weeks apart, but are spaced out more towards the second half of the course to allow time for students to commence their case studies. The course generally runs over a period of 6 months. Exams are usually held in November and June.

Case studies are assessed by the tutor and inspected by the ITEC examiner. Students are required to produce 9 case studies – they must treat 3 clients 3 times each and details written up. Students must pass these in order for the certificate to be awarded.

A 45 minute massage treatment is carried out and oral questions asked for the practical exam, and a 30 minute multiple choice theory exam tests the theoretical knowledge. Pass mark is 60% for each.

The students final grade is decided by adding together the marks achieved for each individual course making up the certificate & the practical mark, then dividing the total by 4 to give a final percentage. If 75% or more is achieved, a credit grade is awarded. If 90% or more is achieved, a distinction grade is awarded. This means that the marks for all the courses will have an impact on the final grade of the diploma, which is why I space out the courses & stagger the exam dates to allow students time to focus on each individual course exam one at a time. This allows my students to regularly achieve credit & distinction grades.
