Ma Petite Patisserie is a plant-based fine cooking school based in Manuka Village in Griffith, Canberra.
Ma Petite Patisserie- Baking Summer Holiday Program for Teenagers - Day 2 Mastering Macarons- 16th January 2024
For Teenagers aged 11 to 15 years old.
Day 2: Mastering Macarons
Embark on a journey to perfect the art of crafting the delicate and beloved macaron, from the shells to exquisite fillings.
Morning Schedule:
- 8:30 am - 9 am: Arrival and Welcome
- 9am - 9:45 am: Young Chefs start making the fillings for their
macaron shell. They will start learning the technique of making a
vanilla creamy and fruit compote.
-9:45am: Morning Tea Break - Children will enjoy a light snack (fruit) to refuel for the morning's patisserie activities.
- 9:45 am - 11:30 am: Macaron shells - Our young chefs will dive into creating delicious macarons shells and practice piping the shapes of their choice for their macarons.
Lunch (please note that lunch is not included)
- 11:30 am - 12:30 pm: Lunch Break - We'll head to a designated area for a leisurely lunch and outdoor play at a near-by playground. Some quiet crafty activities have been planned to do indoors in case of rain.
Afternoon Schedule:
- 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm: Young Chefs will turn the vanilla creamy into an airy mousseline cream and will add the flavours of their choice (cookie dough, cocoa, marshmallows, cinnamon). They will also make some chocolate ganaches.
-1.30pm-3pm: Time to assemble! Young patissiers will pipe the fillings in the macaron shells.
- 2:30 pm - 3:00 pm: Dessert Presentation - Young chefs will learn how to beautifully present their creations.
- 3:00 pm - 3:15 pm: Afternoon Tea Break - Children will enjoy another light snack, savouring the macarons they've created.
- 3:15 pm - 3:30 pm: Recap and End of Day - We'll reflect on the day's achievements, ensuring everyone is proud of their macaroon creations.
Throughout the day, our experienced instructor will guide and inspire the young chefs, making sure they have a delightful and educational experience while creating these delicious macarons. Enroll your teenagers now for a memorable school holiday adventure at "Ma Petite Patisserie"!
