A dynamic late night concert for those who care to dream and stay up past 9pm :)

9:30-10:30pm. Doors open approx 9pm.

A Baroque voice for the pop age.

This August, vocal sensation Maayan Licht makes his Australian debut with Live at Yours in Coloratura Queen — a dazzling collision of Handel, Vivaldi, Porpora, Broschi and Beyoncé.

Imagine Farinelli meets Freddie Mercury — under the soaring arches and starry vaults of Sydney’s Great Synagogue, close enough to feel the electricity.

Joined by the brilliant Neal Peres Da Costa and a hand-picked Baroque ensemble, Maayan detonates a programme of pure theatre: jealousy, seduction, heartbreak, prayer-like stillness and hurricane-force brilliance.

The programme will draw from some of the greatest showpieces of the Baroque era, such as Vivaldi's molten Vedrò con mio diletto and ice-cold Gelido in ogni vena, Broschi's dazzling Son qual nave, Handel's electrifying Da tempeste il legno infranto, Porpora's breathtaking virtuosity, and perhaps even a delicious collision of Handel and Beyoncé. The exact repertoire is still under wraps, but expect Baroque opera at full voltage.

“Vocal artistry doesn’t get any greater.”
— Concerti Opera Magazine

Hosted by Vladimir Fanshil, this will be Live at the Great in full flight: intimate, theatrical, immersive and completely alive.

A performer like this is rare.

Hearing him this close is rarer still.

At the mood lit architecture of the Great Synagogue.

Blink and you'll miss it.
