Come down to Anglican Deaconess Ministries, BYO lunch and enjoy a short talk from one of our Mary Andrews College Research Fellows that will expand your theological thinking.
This Lunch Hour on 21 May from 1pm-2pm, come and hear Alanna Glover speak on "Singing that Shapes Us". Alanna is the Creative Director of Emu Music, a lecturer in Music Ministry at Moore College, a gifted singer and songwriter and one of our Research Fellows for this year.
In this talk, she will speak from her research and experience to explore what the Bible says about what singing is. Why do we sing at all? Is it even an important part of church? Alanna will share what the Bible says and how the very act of singing is something God uses to shape his people.
The event is free for all, and suitable for everyone, no matter your experience with theology. Come and learn, connect with other Christians in the city, and taste a part of God’s word on your lunch break.
