Please join us for the Mary Andrews College Lunch Hour: the easiest way for you to sneak some theology into your diet.

Come down to Anglican Deaconess Ministries, BYO lunch and enjoy a short talk from one of our Mary Andrews College Research Fellows that will expand your thinking and theology.

This Lunch Hour on the 22nd October here from 1pm-2pm, come and hear Stephanie Judd speak on Beyond Comparison: Finding Your Place, Purpose, and Joy in Christ.

Comparison shapes the way we see ourselves, other women, and even God. We look sideways at someone else’s beauty, success, relationships, gifts or opportunities and wonder, “Am I falling behind?”

But what if our struggle with comparison is pointing to something deeper?

Stephanie will unpack truths from Scripture that can help us break free from comparison that cripples our joy, and discover a deeper, soul-satisfying joy in Christ - a joy that frees us to live a life which finds meaning and purpose in magnifying Christ and living courageously for his Kingdom.

At Mary Andrews College, we help women and men grow in their knowledge of God and capacity to serve others—not just for a semester, but for a lifetime.

We believe good theology is robust in truth, relevant to daily life, and accessible to every Christian person.

We know, from Scripture, that when we study his word, we find an invitation to fall more deeply in love with him. When we consider the gospel, the death and resurrection of Jesus, it’s this love that not only transforms our lives but spills out into the lives of those around us.

We've held this conviction since 1891. Our namesake Mary Andrews, who served as Principal for over 20 years, said: “The measure of what you can do for the world will be simply what you let God do with yourself.”

More recently, our current Principal, Dr Laurel Moffatt wrote, “Theology is for all of God’s people. We all have ‘words about God’; our shared task is to ensure those words are good and right, reflecting His character and guiding us into wise, joyful obedience.”
