Calling on all employers in the Greater Whitsunday region who are interested in seeing an accommodation precinct being developed at Mackay Airport.

Mackay Airport have proposed developing an accommodation precinct on Airport land that includes quality self-contained units suitable for medium to high income employees. 

If you would like to see this accommodation precinct progressing, we would like to invite you to attend a workshop to inform the likely demand for such accommodation and co-design the precinct – highlighting the kind of accommodation that is most needed as well as price sensitivities.

The workshop will involve a presentation and scene setting by Mackay Airport and a facilitated discussion about your workforce accommodation needs and the type of accommodation that would be most suitable to address your workforce needs.

1. Your housing needs are better understood for this housing solution as well as future opportunities.

2. Mackay Airport is in a better position to decide whether to progress with the development.

3. If the development progresses, it is designed in such a way as to best meet the region’s workforce needs.
