Black Dog Ride's iconic annual 1 Dayer aims to start a national conversation about depression and suicide prevention. Help us get the country talking and join your local 1 Dayer on 17th March 2024.
8 Australians take their lives every single day, that's one Aussie every 3 hours losing their life to the black dog.

Ride Registration:
By registering, you will also receive your rider kit upon check-in on the day at the ride, which includes:
- 1 Dayer patch
- Round 1 Dayer 2024 participation bike sticker
- 'Black Dog Rider' bike sticker

Ride Itinerary:
Massive thanks to Bruce Crowther and the British Motorcycle Owners Association Mackay for drawing up out route this year and providing the ride with corner markers so we all know where we are going!
First Ride Route
- Depart Bunnings North Carpark 9:30am
- Exit Bunnings left onto Holts Road (North)
- Right onto Glenella - Richmond Road
- At the stop sign, Left onto Mackay Habana Road
- Left into Farleigh – Habana Road
- Left at Giveway Sign Bruce Highway (South)
- Right across north bound lane of Bruce Hwy onto Sugar shed Rd
- Under Mackay Ring Road Then Turn Left onto Bald Hill Rd
- At Stop Sign Turn Left onto Bruce Highway North bound Lane
- Turn Left At the roundabout onto Mackay Ring Road
- Continue on Mackay Ring Road towards Bakers Creek
- Turn Left at Roundabout to Continue on Mackay Ring Road
- Bakers Creek roundabout Turn Right, South Bound Bruce Highway
- Right onto Homebush Road at Rossella Store
- Stop at General Gordon Hotel for Cooling Refreshment Till 10:45 am
Total Ride Time 45 minutes arriving 10:15 am
At 10.45 am prepare to leave the General Gordon Hotel
All Support, back up Vehicles will be Leaving by 11.00 am
Second Ride Route
- Leaving General Gordons, left turn on to Homebush Rd
- Continue on Eton - Homebush Road, Take Right fork past Ockendon road towards Eton
- At stop Sign turn Right on to East bound Lane of Peak Downs Highway
- Turn Right into Prospect St Eton
- Stop At Eton Hotel for Lunch And completion of the ride

Ride Preparation
It is imperative that riders ensure their bike is registered, roadworthy, and in proper working order, ready for the significant distance ride ahead. It is also imperative that riders and pillion passengers are fit and well enough for the journey. Black Dog Ride does not take responsibility for these matters.
