    You are invited to join Tarata Hall Commitee and Taranaki Rural Support Trust for the Mad Hatters Menopause Tea Party.

    Grab your friends, put on your sunday best, wear your maddest hat and join us for a high tea party like no other.  Spot prizes for the "Maddest Hat". 

    Your High Tea will include a selection of sandwiches, savoury treats and deserts with limited wine, bubbles, juice, tea and coffee provided all within the ticket price.  No bar available so please BYO.

    A fun filled afternoon with frank discussions and practical advice about all things peri menopause and menopause all with the legendary Tarata hospitality.   

    A great line up of speakers followed by a delicious locally made High Tea - Whats not to like!

    Nicola Douglas - Accupuncture - With a Passion for Women's Health

    We will talk about the role of hormones in the menstrual cycle and what happens leading up to menopause.We will discuss what are some of the most challenging symptoms of perimenopause and menopause, and what we can do to help ourselves be in this chapter of our lives with more comfort and ease (Yes, we will be talking about HRT) I will share with you information you should have been taught in school.  Get ready for a candid discussion about what is happening in our bodies and receive practical advice you can put into practice right away.

    Meegan Care - Mindfulness - Midlife Mentor, Counsellor & Mindfulness

    Will cover mental health and psychology during peri- and post-menopause. We'll explore the fascinating brain changes that occur during this phase of life and discuss effective strategies to address common issues that arise. Discover why menopause can be seen as an upgrade for your brain and learn how embracing this transition can pave the way for your most fulfilling chapter yet!

    Micah Allen -  Fem Nutrition - Nutritionist and Registered Dietitian
    We will cover some of the key nutrition considerations for perimenopause, including; heart health and reducing cardiovascular disease risk, insulin resistance and weight gain, bone health and reducing risk of osteoporosis, and sleep. I will provide some practical and realistic strategies as well as sharing some example meals and snacks ideas.
