Crtierion High Tea has become a very popular event on the Grafton calendar. Featuring music from the CVCON ensembles Strings'n'Things and Jazzy Sundays, the 2026 Mad Hatters Tea Party will yet again be a chance to enjoy some yummy food and beautiful music. Built as a Dance Hall in 1890's, the historic Criterion Theatre is the perfect venue for an old-time Sunday Soirée.

Spend a pleasant Sunday afternoon in our historic hall, catch up with friends, meet some new ones and celebrate Jacaranda Festival in style.

DRESS: Mad! Exciting prizes will be awarded for the best hats.

BYO: Bubbles

The Criterion has good access for people with disabilities, but please arrive early to facilitate seating. The doors will open at 1.15pm.

Music starts with Strings'n'Things at 2pm, Afternoon Tea and raffles at 3pm, followed by Jazzy Sunday, to finish by 4.30.
