Madame After Dark: A Cabaret Fever Dream Takes Centre Stage at Cairns Festival 2025

Buenos Nachos Productions
invites you to slip into something strange for Madame After Dark, a genre-defying cabaret that plunges audiences into a hot, sweaty, and hilariously arousing night of burlesque, circus, and interactive chaos. Presented with support from the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF) and Cairns Festival 2025, this subcultural extravaganza will transform Bulmba-Ja into a den of dazzling defiance across three unmissable nights: Thursday 28 to Saturday 30 August.

Messy, magical, and defiantly original, Buenos Nachos Productions have cultivated an underground cult following across Far North Queensland. Their sold-out hits (Nachita Nights, Madame 2.0, La Noche Attica) have established them as alt icons of the tropics, carving out a unique space in the region’s arts scene, one that celebrates radical inclusion, unfiltered expression and the art of beautiful bedlam.

With sensual absurdity, and speakeasy seduction, Madame After Dark blurs every line between stage and spectator. This newest incarnation promises to be Buenos Nachos’ most deliciously strange yet.
