Join us for an evening as we welcome Made by Morgen to Loam – an exclusive introduction to the Melbourne studio’s refined, handcrafted furniture range.

In this candid Meet the Maker event, Nick McDonald will join us in person to share insight into his process, ethos and how a designer remains true to their values in a world of mass production. A conversation that speaks to the relevance of honest, considered design.

Artist-in-residence Rina Freiberg will also present work created in response to the collection, offering a layered dialogue between art and design.

Brought to you by Made by Morgen in collaboration with Loam.

About Made by Morgen:

From his workshop in Melbourne to collaborations with legacy brands such as R.M.Williams, Nick McDonald has quietly shaped a new era of Australian furniture making.

Guided by the philosophy of “make it simple, make it well’’ and inspired by the minimal nature of Scandinavian and mid-century design, Made by Morgen creates bespoke furniture with integrity.

Made by hand in their Melbourne workshop using FSC-certified timbers, selected for their natural beauty, longevity and sustainability, Founder Nick McDonald established the studio with a commitment to timeless, refined design - allowing form to follow function and materiality to speak for itself.

Made by Morgen creates refreshing, unique and individualised pieces for People, Places and Spaces, offering conscious, hand-made pieces that seamlessly integrate into both residential and commercial spaces.
