Melbourne Deepcast and Best Effort are holding hands to bring you Made in the Shade - a series of outdoor, open air events nestled in the warehouse district of Thornbury next to the Darebin Creek. We'll be dancing under sun and as the day plunges into night, stars and moon will join us.
Sailing the ship for our first instalment, in order of appearance are: Music Company, Sophie McAlister, Lane Split and our dear friend from Sydney, Adi Toohey.
Disc Jockey’s will play a broad range of sounds, through the custom built, sky-high stacks of the Hotwax Soundsystem.
Melbourne Deepcast and Best Effort recognize the traditional owners of the land on which this event takes place, the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin nation, and pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging. Sovereignty never ceded, always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
All booking fees through Humanitix are donated to children's education charities and a portion of profits will be donated to the Dhadjowa Foundation. The Dhadjowa Foundation is being established to provide strategic, coordinated and culturally appropriate support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families whose loved ones have died in custody.
