Entry instructions

Event Cinemas is located on the top floor (Level 3) of Westfield Shopping Centre, on Elizabeth Drive Liverpool. Pedestrian access to the cinema is via the front entrance of Westfield Shopping Centre then take the first escalator to the roof. There are two elevators inside the shopping centre, at the east and west ends, which service Levels 1, 2 and 3 however access on Level 3 is to an outside / exterior rooftop car park with considerable travel to Event Cinemas. For this reason, we advise anyone with mobility considerations to drive and park in accessible parking spaces on the rooftop where possible.

After entry instructions

When you arrive at Level 3, Event Cinemas is located up a small set of stairs. There is a ramp located outside the automatic doors on the right; follow the glass wall to find the bottom of it. Then, travel through the entrance - past the bathrooms on the right and Parlour Lane (candy bar) on the left. There is a small set of stairs to get to the festival entrance on the mezzanine level with a ramp located on the left. Travel past the bar on your left and our friendly volunteers will welcome you to the festival and scan your digital tickets. You will self-select your seats at the point of ticket registration but friendly staff on the night can help direct you to your seats if you need. Red carpet entry and photos start from 6pm, with doors to the cinema opening at 7pm. Before 7pm, the red carpet foyer space can get quite crowded and loud. For this reason, you may choose to wait away from the crowd if needed. We conduct filming inside the cinema before doors open which we require silence for so unfortunately cannot permit attendees inside the cinema before 7pm.

The festival after party is at the Macquarie Hotel. Make a night of it! Stay at the Quest Apartments or Meriton Suites in Liverpool to avoid the late night uber home. > Quest Apartments: https://www.questapartments.com.au/properties/nsw/liverpool/quest-liverpool > Meriton Suites: https://www.meritonsuites.com.au/our-hotels/nsw/western-sydney/liverpool Heads up We encourage attendees to let us know if they have any accessibility requirements or concerns before the event. Please make a note in your ticket order and we'll do our best to reach out to you ahead of the event to keep you informed so you can have a great night. Westfield Shopping Centre will be very busy; Black Friday sales will be on (ahead of Saturday 29 November) and people will be out to take advantage of early end-of-year presents for the gift-giving season. The period from 6pm until cinema doors open can be quite overwhelming - we pack our 330 audience into the pre-cinema foyer on mezzanine level and it can be quite crowded and loud. There is space on the other side of the cinema (where the entrance / Parlour Lane and bathrooms are) which is less populated and quieter if needed. We do some recording inside the cinema for our Online Festival at this time, which we need silence for, so we don’t generally admit anyone to the space before doors open at 7pm. We encourage anyone who would like to avoid loud / crowded spaces to delay your arrival until 7pm. Films may contain flashing / strobing content; we ask filmmakers to add a warning at the start of their films for attendees and our MC will announce if this is the case too. Also, it's worth noting that the festival is not hearing loop enabled, we do not make use of an Auslan interpreter and the presentation is not close captioned, except for films that were submitted with captions or films in languages other than English. Priority seating Cinema 12 has two wheelchair holds for anyone who needs them - please contact us to reserve them, or the seats near / around them for your family, friends, cast, crew or carers.
