We all have a hidden talent. 

For our next event we inspired in early 1900’s circus crews. They would wonder from town to town, unpacking and packing the whole show, cleaning, doing it all. And on top of that, entertaining big audiences. 

All that without the use of any technology whatsoever. No phones, no camera tricks. Wonder, illusion and magic were real.

The quirky, the tattooed, the travelers, the gypsies, everyone is welcome to ALTEREGO’S MADHOUSE.

We are excited to announce the protagonists of our next tale (in alphabetical order):

ART EXHIBITION by Cacatúa Negra. Cacatúa Negra will be our featured artist for the night displaying his latest work ‘Dear Darkness’, produced specially for MADHOUSE. A series of new visual pieces, exhibited in large format.

BACKSTAGE by Gustavo Suarez, Alex Lange, Estefania Nurit. Fine art school, Stage production and dance, theatre, amongst other degrees, these qualified artists with numerous exhibitions and shows along the Sunshine Coast (Noosa Regional Gallery, Horizon Festival, OFFLINE FESTIVAL, The Shelter SC to name a few), are preparing a show not to be missed. Find these characters and resemble the backstage consequences of a fringe show.

DISCO by Stuart aka “DISCO STU” Frampton. Some of the best talent isn’t always right there in front of us, they’re behind closed doors collecting an arsenal of audio treats that really need to be heard. And yes, he likes to party! A connoisseur of vintage disco & all things dance, this talented selector will be getting your hips swinging well into the night inside our Madhouse!

FORTUNE TELLING by Madame Sassica.  Life is full of symbols, you are the one in charge of interpreting it the right way. Do you want to know your future?

LIVE PAINTING by Angie Dlapiu. All the way from Venezuela, designer and artist Angie Dlapiu will be painting LIVE a brand new piece for the event. Participate in the raffle and take a piece of art home! All income from the raffle will be donated to Happily Heifer After Sanctuary, a local rescue, rehabilitate and rehome for animals. 

LYRA LOVE by Molly Thompson and Julia Berisso. Contemplate beauty when Molly and Juli perform for the first time together in a brand new challenging choreographed aerial hoop performance.

MERKABA by Lexie. 8 years of handcrafting jewellery and creating stunning macrame pieces around high quality crystals. Check out her on-site collection and take a quality gift home with you. 

MYSTICAL CONVERSATION by Awka Tribe. Choreographed performance by Brenda Sagesse and Juan Cruz Arabian. Embrace the fire coming through!

PICTURES by Luan Kihara. Our talented friend will be in charge of documenting the best moments of the event with the support of the crew. Leave your phone in your pocket. Personal film cameras are allowed. Film cameras available on site for you to grab, which will be developed and posted online for your delight. 

RIDDLES, Games, Tales and LIVE MUSIC PERFORMANCE by Nicholas Reefman. This man has some games of all sorts under his sleeve that go from riddles to treasure hunts. Meet him alongside the outdoor fire pits and propel to new dimensions of wonder, or watch him perform in our Main Tent.

WAX SHACK by our very own in-house vinyl wizard Mr Jackson Winter. A pop-up record store where you can get your hands on some of his vast collection, spanning through all forms of dance music from by-gone eras. A fully interactive experience equipped with listening stations and categorised for your digging pleasure! Be sure to bring some cash if you’re in the market for some quality music in a physical form.

Latin American Street Food by Kampara. A 100% plant based, gluten free, refine sugar free, handmade with love menu specially selected for the event.

BAR by the one and only SHELTER CTRL. Supporting, always.
