The Madrigal Society is delighted to present its first concert of 2023, The Forest at the End of the World.

In life we are surrounded by, and are part of, the nature of the world around us - everchanging, everlasting. Join us as we sing our way through a myriad of stories celebrating nature's resilience, beauty, and regrowth.

Our repertoire features beautifully resonant live acapella chamber singing for you to revel in. From Renaissance to contemporary music, we create a world for you to imagine - one where after the apocalypse, life recovers.

The Madrigal Society is honoured to co-present with lutenist Christian Laki, who adds a delightful touch of Renaissance instrumental music to our line-up. Installation artist Alexis Halverson will also be creating an in-situ work in our concert hall, adding unique creative energies to the night.

Please come prepared to listen, muse, laugh, and contemplate. Join us at the pub afterwards to eat, drink, and make merry!
