Mähallä x Aywa
Event description
Mähallä and Aywa are finally banding together for an exciting, and long overdue event collaboration.
Oct 14th we're overjoyed to be back at Miscellania, with some new faces that we're very proud to be showcasing and a few acts back by popular demand - Yung Lemon from Eora/Sydney and always spectacular Jale.
In recognition of the 14th being Referendum voting day Miscellania will donate bar profits to Victorian Aboriginal Health Service.
This event is taking place on the same day as another event at Miscellania, a free 3ZZZ event early in the day featuring Colette, Tinika, Yung Shogun, and DJ Smilez - all 3ZZZ event attendees are eligible for discounted tickets if interested in making a day of it and checking out both!
Miscellania has a No One Turned Away For Lack of Funds policy, even if you are a bit skint you have just as much right to enjoying music as anyone else, please get in touch with us at aywasyndicate01@gmail.com or speak to one of the lovely Miscellania staff on the night.
As always, free entry for Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander people, or refugees and asylum seekers who are interested in attending the event.
The event is taking place on stolen land. We acknowledge that the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people, the traditional custodians of the waterways, and land on which we gather to live, work, and play. The colonial project is ongoing and continues to disenfranchise First Nations people. We recognise that sovereignty has never been ceded and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land.
Miscellania is unfortunately inaccessible for wheelchair users. Accessibility details can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1fHR60VwEErBidoSdSbRgbWh8LDVlDjW5RQB8JE916B8
