Magnolias Art Class

As a clothing optional art class, we come together to share a sacred experience where not only the art model, but everyone is invited to strip off, let go, and celebrate who they are! There is of course no pressure to be completely nude, we understand this can be a very daunting experience so please only do what feels right for your comfort level!

Magnolia’s Art Class is a safe space that encourages individuals to utilize art and nudity in order to create an empowering bonding experience, where everyone is on the same plane of vulnerability, lifting one another up to feel a sense of comfort within our bodies that is difficult to access in day to day life.

The focus will be on figure drawing, no drawing experience is necessary! In the first half, Kate our co-facilitator will take you through some basic life drawing exercises to warm you up, and Rosie, our other facilitator will throw a few poses to begin. Rosie and Kate will then guide and mentor anyone who wishes to step up and give it a go themselves. Because everyone deserves their moment in the sun, we encourage anyone to step up and strike a pose for the artists to draw in the later part of the class!

TIME:

6:30 pm - Arrival (to allow time to change and order food/drink!)

6:45 pm - Class commences.

8:20 pm - Wrap up

WHAT TO BRING:

- Dressing Gown (if you are not comfortable with being completely nude you are welcome to bring anything you feel most comfortable in to wear instead!)

- Sketch book & Drawing/Painting tools of choice

- Snack and drinks of choice (nothing too messy please!)

- An open, accepting and respectful attitude.

Tickets are $30, however if you identify as Trans, Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, or are experiencing financial strain and this cost is getting in the way of your access to this event, please contact missrosierivette@gmail.com so we can get you in! ❤️

AFTERCARE:

This experience may bring up a lot of emotions, memories and experiences for participants, because it is a really vulnerable experience that can hold a lot of meaning people. In acknowledging this, we recommend participants plan a gentle evening for themselves following the class in order to allow those feelings to be held in a safe and supportive space.

REFUND POLICY:

Please note we offer refunds 7 days PRIOR to the event. Any cancellations within 7 days of the event will be allowed to use their ticket for a future event if a free spot is available (please contact missrosierivette@gmail.com if you cannot make the class).
