Nestled in the Hunter Valley bushland’s Tractor Studio at Dashville, where music and family intertwine, cosmic country - soul outfit Magpie Diaries re-emerge, with a new body of work that is both deeply personal and unmistakably theirs.

Blending soul, country and ’70s folk-rock, Some Kind Of View is more than a collection of songs — it’s a time capsule. A heartfelt nod to family and to the land.

CJ Stranger is a guitar slinging, story-telling songwriter living on Darug Country, Blue Mountains. His music draws on folk songwriting traditions combined with an adventurous sonic palette courtesy of his exploratory guitar and banjo style.
